About us

YOUTH COUNT is a non-partisan alliance of not for profit organizations that promotes the active role of youth in the social, economic and cultural development of Canadian society.

Members of the YOUTH COUNT alliance are organizations that work with youth on a daily basis and whose missions reflect a commitment toward fostering active citizenship among Canada’s youth. 

This website has been created in order to:

• Raise awareness about the value of youth engagement, youth participation and youth service.
• Increase support for youth programs from all sectors of society.
• Mobilize resources to support a national youth policy that includes a national youth service program.
